Situation:  A $7B global bulk pharmaceuticals and medical supplies manufacturer in need of increased bench-strength for plant manager position.

The Delta Solution:  Identified critical competencies for position and created Excellerate™ program to “reality-test” high-performers in “feeder positions” against plant manager requirements.

Result:  Candidates fully embraced developmental plans, many of whom were promoted to plant manager.  Resulted in additional programs for sales and product development divisions.

Situation:  First-time, high-potential manager with strong technical skills, but no background in people management.  Needed to learn participatory management skills; develop leadership qualities of professionalism, communication, and emotional self-management; and act as a role model for the department.

The Delta Solution:  Raise self-awareness through battery of psychological assessments.  Improve awareness and behaviors through coaching and journaling.

Coaching - They Moved My Cheese

Situation:  Long-service, up-from-the-ranks VP of HR with “get-it-done” orientation clashing with new CEO and dramatic changes in competitive environment requiring strategic focus.

The Delta Solution:  Guided learning by doing allowed individual to develop a strategic plan to respond to change in competition and demonstrate ability to envision strategy.

Result:  Plan was accepted with minimal change, VP of HR's employment was no longer at risk.

Situation:  A $250M global electrical systems manufacturer that needed to revitalize and expand established performance improvement programs with no additions to their HR staff.

The Delta Solution:  Extended staff by creating a Thought Partnership Panel of four to six consultants that provided structured brainstorming sessions.

Result:  Client department services increased 25 percent with no increase in staff expenses.


Organized Pandemonium

Situation:  A $100M specialty device manufacturer in need of support for across-the-board growth and changing needs.  As a result of international conditions generating a fourfold increase in production demand, their employee base tripled in three months, the company was acquired, and they were relocating to new facilities.
