Coaching for Development
This type of coaching focuses on identifying behaviors that can be limiting and in creating on- and off-job interventions that will move those behaviors to more productive levels. 

Coaching for Success
In this instance,
the individual has usually been identified as a top performer who has been chosen for consideration as a future leader with significant organizational impact.  In this instance, the process focuses on the competencies critical for success at the next organizational level, and how to provide current experiences that will expand the executives skills relative to those competencies.
